CLash TAP DANCE

Mission Statement

CLash TAP DANCE, "South Jersey's Premiere Youth Tap Ensemble" was founded in September 2015 under the Artistic Direction of Ashley Clack. The company rehearses weekly at Colts Neck Dance & Performing Arts Academy with support and production from it's Executive Director Sheri Ladley-Calamusa.

The ensemble consists of young tap dancers ages 12-20 years-old that come from different training, performance backgrounds, and dance studios across New Jersey. The ensemble's mission is to provide a platform for young dancers that love to tap dance to come together alongside their continuous dance training at their home studios and share the floor... also to make some life long friends along the way.

The company members will have the opportunity to train with some of the most talented tap dancers in the community today through our Master Class Series, and they will be educated on the history of the tap dancers that path the way for this generation. Rehearsals consist of honing improvisation skills, music theory practice, choreographic process, & learning repertoire that they will perform in professional settings. CLash TAP DANCE is new company that is excited to make it's mark in the tap community and The State of New Jersey.
