The type of role I would like to become as an educator is one that can act as a mentor for her students, show great leadership, and lead by example. As an educator I will be open to learning new methods, skills, and teaching techniques through learning from my own mistakes and the criticism of my peers. As an educator, I want to be a "remembered" teacher. I want to have made an impact on my students in some way and know that what I have taught them, they will be able to apply later in their dance education, career, and life. I want to be respected; as well as be a teacher all my students can feel comfortable with and not intimidated by. I want to be a dance educator that will allow my students to have the confidence to change and grow in both the present tense and future when I am no longer their teacher.
